Take a trip through maritime history and learn how this famous landmark was constructed from local limestone in 1895, and is still a vital working lighthouse for vessels navigating the treacherous cape. As the tallest lighthouse on mainland Australia, Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse is a must-see attraction in the Margaret River Region.
Visitors can also enjoy a snack or light refreshments at the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse Cafe.
Fully guided tours of the lighthouse tower only. Tours depart every half hour from 9.00am - 4.30pm.
Tower tour duration 30 minutes.
Children under 4 years old are NOT PERMITTED to climb the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse.
Children 4 yrs – 16 yrs. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
All tours must have a minimum of two adults to run.
