ITINERARY
You'll be collected from your Port Lincoln accommodation between 7:30 am and 8:00 am before taking a scenic drive along the untamed coastline of Whalers Way. Blending natural beauty with geological wonders, uncover unique rock formations, spot wildlife, and learn about the area's maritime heritage.
Travel to Mikkira Station Koala Sanctuary to see some of the 200 wild koalas residing among the manna gums. Home to the only wild koala population on the peninsula, as well as kangaroos and emus, Mikkira is a must for wildlife lovers. The on-site historic homestead offers a glimpse into the lives of the region's pioneers.
Next, drive to beautiful Coffin Bay for the unique Coffin Bay Oyster Farm Tour. Don waders and relax at the semi-submerged Salt Water Pavilion on a working oyster farm. Enjoy the salty breeze as Oyster Farmer Ben shares stories and insights about oysters and Coffin Bay history. This fun culinary experience includes a hands-on shucking lesson and four fresh oysters. Optional purchases include sparkling wine, Riesling, Bloody Mary Oyster Shots, and additional oysters, all enjoyed in the water.
Back on land, head to Oyster HQ, which boasts the best waterfront view in Coffin Bay. Choose from three delicious meals for lunch before heading to the multi-award-winning Peter Teakle Wines. Synonymous with Port Lincoln and the Eyre Peninsula, enjoy unparalleled views of Boston Bay from their state-of-the-art Cellar Door as you are guided through a wine tasting.
Senses awakened after a day of indulgence in nature, soak in the last moments of the day atop Winters Hill Lookout. Finally, we'll drop you back to your Port Lincoln accommodation around 5:00 pm, with a camera full of memories that will be etched in your mind long after you've left the Eyre Peninsula.
PRIVATE TOUR UPGRADE
If you would like to travel in your own private vehicle, you can upgrade your experience to a private tour when booking. The key differences are that you will travel in a 4WD, which will allow for an off-road adventure in Lincoln National Park, and there will be a premium lunch menu at Oyster HQ. Private tours are available seven days a week on request.
